Shari-Beth is a big believer in throwing “IT” against the wall and see what sticks. In this case its paint!
Shari-Beth has been a personal trainer for the past 19 years. Her love for fitness is contagious. She loves working with men and women to help them create a lifestyle that includes weight training, cardio and healthy nutrition.
In September of 2016 Shari-Beth became an empty nester. With some extra time on her hands she thought she would
spend time with her aging mother. But that idea changed when her mom passed away later that month.
In a 2-year span Shari-Beth lost her mother, father, brother and father in-law and somewhere in between she was diagnosed with breast cancer. This combination could make your head spin. But, this led her to art -specifically Resin Art.
After YOU TUBING abstract techniques she fell in love with Resin Art. By using acrylics and resin on a wood panel, each original painting is completely unique and full of depth. As light reflects off the glassy surface of the resin, the complexities of the multi-layers are revealed, conveying a sense of wonder.
She builds each piece one layer at a time, carefully controlling the flow of resin, while allowing it to settle on its own. This style is a way for her to explore her thoughts without constraint and find peace and beauty in the unknown. For her, art is more than something pretty to look at; it is about expressing emotions, creating an experience, and connecting with others.
She named her company Act 2 Art because she feels this is her second Act. Don’t worry she is not quitting her day time passion as a Personal Trainer but she is available for commission pieces.
When she is not painting, you will find her training her clients, running, biking or having fun with her husband Jeff, her 3 boys Jacob, Ben, Noah and their dog Woody.
